Public Works Department,

Hongkong, 10th June, 1907.

Sir,

Adverting to C.S.O.9439/1904, I beg to report that certain parts of the Naval boundaries abutting on Macdonnell Road, Kowloon, require to be readjusted, and are capable of being easily readjusted at the present time.

The boundaries referred to belong to Kowloon Marine Lot 41, and that part of the Naval properties which until recently formed a part of Austin Road; and the adjustment is required in order to give a reasonable and desirable alignment to Macdonnell Road.

The accompanying tracing shows the adjustment of boundaries that I would propose should be submitted to the Naval Authorities for their concurrence.

The proposed boundary is shown by a red line, and the areas lying between it and the present boundary are coloured thus:- addition to Naval property, red; deductions therefrom, blue.

The addition and deductions practically balance each other. The total area of Naval property there fore will remain as at present; but the alignment of the road will be improved as shown.

I would advise that this proposal be forwarded for the early consideration of the Naval Authorities as they are now desirous of building a boundary wall across the Austin Road part of the property.

The Colonial Secretary.

I have, etc.

sd.

W. Chatham,

Director of Public Works.
