Science Section:-

A. The Engineering Section.
Students must select a course in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering and when they have completed one course they can commence a second.

B. The Commerce Section.
The English Course is English "Speaking and Writing". Special attention will be paid to conversation, letter-writing and business correspondence.
Only such Chinese as are up to the Standard of Class I Queen's College will be permitted to attend the classes in English.

French and German Classes will be limited to Chinese who have acquired sufficient knowledge of English to keep pace with non-Chinese students.

The course in shorthand will include two lectures on typewriting.

The course in book-keeping will be elementary only.

Length of Course of Study.
The syllabus in each subject will be drawn up by the Lecturer in the first place following the above scheme of studies, and referred to the Director who will if necessary discuss it with him and recommend any necessary alterations.
Where the scheme contains Advanced and Elementary courses in any subject, the two lecturers concerned (when the two classes are not conducted by the same Lecturer) will consult as to the syllabus for each course, so that the whole may be carefully graded.
The length of the course of Study is fixed provisionally as follows:-
