For the explanation of the increase in the revised estimate for the Tai Tan Tuk Waterworks, First Section, I would refer Your Lordship to my Despatch No. 255 of 4th instant forwarding Financial Minute No. 47. The sum of $15,000 now provided will complete the work. It has not been found possible to make any provision in the Estimates for the Second Section of these Waterworks and in this connection I would invite Your Lordship's attention to my remarks to the Council.
