I see no sufficient grounds for diplomatic intervention.
The intervention of the Government in such a case in the absence of any Treaty obligation may establish a precedent highly undesirable.
The parties should have recourse to such powers as they may be advised they possess. (vide para. 6 of their Solicitor's letter.)
