If I were the appointment.

(4) I accepted the offer; and, on 13th June 1905 I was transferred to the Army Reserve, in Hongkong, was 13000, a 20 miles from Home, because I was offered permanent, pensionable employment by the Government. In view of what is to follow, I respectfully beg to specially emphasize the latter points.

(5) I was appointed Wardmaster at the Government Civil Hospital, where I was stationed for duty from the 13th June 1905 till the 3rd January 1906. During that period no fault of any kind was found with my services.

(6) On the 5th January 1906, I was transferred to the Government Infectious Diseases Hospitals, at Kennedy Town on the western outskirts of Hong Kong. My services at the latter place were always found satisfactory until my return from leave, at the end of September, or...
