Overseer for Drainage Work. Age 27-35. Preferably unmarried. The person appointed will be in charge of Drainage Works, their construction, maintenance and cleansing. He should be fully competent to set out and supervise the cutting and shoring of trenches for sewers and the construction of masonry and concrete storm-water drains. He should have a good general working knowledge of Drainage Work including the laying and jointing of stoneware or concrete pipes, be able to measure up and make returns of the quantities of work done and be capable of making rough sketches and reports on existing drains.
Salary and emoluments, and whether secured by a permanent law.
Salary $225 per month. On confirmation after three years' probation, salary will rise by annual increments of $15 until a maximum salary of $225 has been reached.
