Report on Ordinance No. 2.
of 1907.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
An Ordinance for the incorporation of the
Hong Kong College of Medicine.
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to
the Governor's Instructions,
It is considered advisable that the Hong Kong College of
Medicine should become a body corporate to enable it to take
the
benefit of bequests of house property in the Colony such a be-
que st
having recently been made in favour of the College by a Chinese benefactor.
It has also been resolved to remove an undesirable limite-
tion upon the scope of the work or the College by the omission
from its name of the words "for Chinese "
