With reference to my Confidential Despatch of the 1st instant, I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that, in consequence of Kelly's having represented that he was ignorant of his still being in the Civil Service at the time of his dismissal from the Railway, I have given instructions that he should be again engaged on that work.
2. The Chief Resident Engineer has been informed that any case of neglect of duty or other cause for dismissal must be treated in accordance with the Colonial Regulations.
