I have the honour to state that the Colonial Treasurer reports that since the 1st July, 1906, no payments have been made by His Excellency Sir Matthew Nathan in respect of the percentage on the estimated value of the furniture provided for his private use at Government House and Mountain Lodge, payable under No.284 of the rules and regulations of His Majesty's Colonial Service.
2. I have accordingly to request that His Excellency may be asked to refund to this Government through the Crown Agents a sum of $167.80 in respect of the months July to April last inclusive and to make further payments at the rate of $16.78 or $8.39 a month as the case may be during the period from the 1st May onwards in which he draws full salary or half salary from Hongkong Funds.
