I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch no 108 of 26th of April and to inform you that I agree to the proposal that Messrs Prothero, Jackman, Perkins, Jaffé should be allowed to draw the maximum sterling grade salary of Executive Engineers (ie £600 a year). This will take effect from the 1st of January 1908.
