Sir In Nathan - in minute attached. proposes to regrade the
service &
divide the Executive Engineers into

Sir G. Fiddes
There are
four good men and
it would be difficult to treat
any of them differently especially
the junior - Mr
Jaffe - is possibly important to the Colony having hand structure charge of the protection of the Tylam Tuk water supply being now
now wanted for the
Scheme &
Record Section!
I am not prepared to recommend a permanent increase in the deals for junior Executive
Engineers
as this would create a
demand for a higher scale in other professional departments & also because our special duties remaining Engineers
can be met without such permanency.
