6.

I first noticed the "Alexander" when she was about 250 feet away, she was heading in a Westerly direction at the time I first saw her.

7.

I continued on the course I was then sailing, and the "Alexander" coming on struck our port quarter with her bow, "Alexander" then considerably damaging the junk.

8.

A boat went astern and in about twenty minutes the junk sank. A boat was lowered from the "Alexander" and everybody on board the junk was rescued.

I heard no whistle blown on board the "Alexander".

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1835.
