The junk was moving very slowly. The tide was running about half ebb. I first noticed the "Alexander" about 700 feet away, I told Tau Yee Tin. When I first saw her the "Alexander" was heading a little bit short of our bow. We did not change our course.

As far as I can judge I should say the "Alexander" was going about half speed.

The "Alexander" came on and struck our port quarter with her bows considerably damaging the junk.

It was impossible for us to do anything on board the junk to avoid the collision as there was no wind to maneuver.

There was a full cargo on board the junk at the time of the collision.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously, believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the "Statutory Declaration" Act 1835.
