In continuation of my Confidential Despatch of the 27th October, 1906, on the subject of discount on British and Chinese subsidiary coins, I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that after some immaterial correspondence had passed between His Majesty's Consul-General and myself, I received from Mr. Mansfield the letter of the 22nd March of which I enclose a copy together with a copy of the letter I have sent in reply.
2. The discount on Chinese subsidiary coin is now 9¼ and on Hongkong subsidiary coin 9 per centum
