I have the honour to transmit the enclosed copy of correspondence with Mr. F. O. Amy, Sanitary Inspector in the Sanitary Department, and to report that on the 25th ultimo Mr. Amy was brought before the Executive Council when the charges set out in Mr. Sercombe Smith's letter of the 19th January last, as amended by the Colonial Secretary's letter of the 22nd February, and in the Colonial Secretary's letter of the 18th February were enquired into.
2. The Council unanimously found that charge (b) in Mr. Sercombe Smith's letter of the 19th January last was proven and recommended that Mr. Amy should be suspended from the exercise of the functions of his office, and that he should be recommended to Your Lordship for dismissal from the Public Service.
