Attempting in or about the month of March, 1908, to obtain from Ying Kee, 87, Connaught road Central, a monthly payment of $50.
Answer:-
To this charge I must add another denial. This man I know to be the Compradore of the Hongkong Volunteer Corps of which I am a member. Mr I have never met but at the Camp of Instruction the year before last. At that time I had no idea that he was a Government Contractor. The attached copy of charges shows no translation of charge No. 2.
