life in the Government service, was exposed to great risks, and contracted disease which shattered his health, and he still suffers frequently from the bad effects of the illness he then contracted. The fever from which he suffered recurs from time to time, and he has been attended for illness by Dr Grant of Glamis and Dr Kyd, Alyth, besides having been laid up for a time in Brechin Hospital with a severe attack of Pneumonia.

On the facts and circumstances above set forth, the Petitioner begs most humbly and respectfully that his case may be reconsidered, and that a pension or retiring allowance, so nearly earned, may still be awarded to him.
