Adverting to your letter of the 21st June (No. 8677-1906) I am directed to state that my Lords have pleasure in recommending Mr. A. R. Sutherland, M.A. for the post of Junior Assistant Master at Queen's College, Hong Kong. A statement with regard to this candidate's qualifications is attached.

The Department will be glad to learn whether Mr. Sutherland is approved by Lord Elgin and whether any further steps on the part of this Office are desired in the matter.
