I got up and tried to rush out. A "stink-pot" was thrown at me which burnt my jacket. The pirates shut me in my cabin and kept guard over me. Five men then rushed into the cabin and held me down while two ransacked the cabin. The pirates then went off. About ten minutes later I came out and lay down out-side my cabin. I was in great pain and everything was going round. I saw nothing of the pirates who had all left the ship.
