Sir:-
In reply to your Circular Despatch of the 16th instant, I have the honour to report that:-
1). The Office of the Postal Agency is situated in the Consular Offices.
2). The duties of Postal Agent are discharged by P. Grant Jones, a member of the Consular Staff.
3). The salary and emoluments attached to the Postal Agency are $75 per month, paid to Mr. Jones.
4). The Postal Agent is assisted by two Chinese clerks, one at $30 and one at $15 a month, and by four Chinese postmen, one at $10 and three at $8 per month, who are all paid by the Hongkong Government.
