I am directed to state with reference to your letter received on the 20th instant, that you have failed to exculpate yourself to the satisfaction of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government from the charges brought against you in the Colonial Secretary's letter of the 14th instant, and to inform you that on Monday the 24th instant at 2.30 p.m. the question of your suspension will be brought before the Executive Council.
You will be allowed to appear before the Council and defend yourself orally: and will be given an opportunity of being present and of putting questions in your own behalf to any witnesses who may be called.
