Crown Solicitor's Office,

Hongkong, 30th November, 1903.

Messrs. Denison, Kam & Gibbs.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to previous correspondence, I am now authorised to offer your client the sum of $10,000 in full settlement of her claim for compensation for the area in respect of which notice of resumption has been given including the dwelling house and all buildings, fruit-trees and crops thereon and all her expenses in connection with the resumption.

As the Government is advised that the amount offered is a liberal sum in excess of the value of the property to be resumed, I am to inform you that unless this offer be accepted by your client within a fortnight it will be withdrawn and in the event of the arbitrators allowing a less sum than $10,000 your client will run the risk of having to pay the expenses of both sides in connection with the arbitration.

Yours, &c.

A. B. L. Bowley,

Crown Solicitor.
