Well, why should you pay an Inspector whose District
the shop is not in ?
He said it was not proper, my place was not proper.
Then he knows well enough that it is only the Inspector of the District in which the shop is, who
can take any action against him ?
Did he know that it was not Mr Ward's District ?
I don't know.
But he said just now it was not.
Well, he does not live there.
The witness did not say that.
I will ask him again. Is Inspector Ward the
Inspector of the District in which his shop is
situated?
He has got two shops, the Tung Wing Beef shop in the Central Market, and also the Fat boiling shop in
Shektongtsui.
It is not in No 9 Health District.
You don't mark No 9 on the Inspector's uniform.
No, but they know.
Ask him that question Mr Ball, please,
Question repeated.
Well, it must be where he had oversight of. If it had not been so, he would not have gone to look at it. If an Inspector of the Sanitary Department in uniform comes to your shop and looks at the shop, do you take it for granted that that man is of necessity Inspector
of your District ?
A.
Well, if he comes to look at it, I suppose it is his
District.
You don't necessarily know the number of your District,
or the name of the Inspector over that particular
District ?
A.
I don't know where he is in charge of.
