Sir,

No. 2.

C. O.83A

46436

From the Colonial Secretary to the Chief Engineer,

South China Command.

Rec'd 17 DEC 06.

Colonial Secretary's Office,

Hongkong, 3rd October, 1906.

I am directed to enquire whether and upon

what conditions the Military Authorities would be prepared to

remove their Electric Light Emplacement, which it is understood

has been seriously damaged by the recent typhoon, from its

present site in front of Marine Lot No. 289 to a site further

to the east, as shown on the enclosed plan.

2. The position of the emplacement opposite

the doors of the Godown on the lot in question has proved of

considerable inconvenience to the owner of that lot.

I have etc.,

(Sig.) E. Sercombe Smith,

Colonial Secretary.

Chief Engineer,

South China Command.
