Again, the statement that the rates of Crown went on Building Land are excessive and inequitable inasmuch as they are equal to the taxes imposed on Building sites in the City of Victoria, is erroneous. In Victoria, the Crown Rent on Marine Lots on the Praya Reclamation is $800 an acre and the Crown Rent on other sites in Victoria recently sold by the Crown varies according to locality from $300 to $500 an acre.
