in the Island the sea-wall protecting the Sha Ki Wan Road and that protecting the Aberdeen Road near its junction with the Jubilee Road suffered injury and on Black's Link there were several landslips. Otherwise according to the reports hitherto received the damage was confined to road surfaces. In Kowloon, Salisbury, Robinson, Macdonnell and Granville Roads were cut up in parts and the stone copings of the pathways were here and there displaced. In the New Territories several landslips occurred on the first 9 miles of the Tai Po Road and very considerable injury was done to it where it runs on a pitched embankment by the shores of Tide Cove between the 9th. and 11th. miles. It was also washed out in places on the 17th. and 18th. miles.
