7. Of the small flotilla of pleasure yachts belonging to the port, 12 were totally lost and several others badly damaged.

8. As regards Colonial Government Shipping that in charge of the Harbour Department did not, owing to the prompt measures taken by the Harbour Master, late Captain L. A. W. Barnes-Lawrence, to secure their safety, suffer severely. Slight damage was done to the Steam Tender "Stanley" and to the steam-launch "Lily" which went ashore; 4 row-boats at out-stations were lost. The recently provided new Fairway Buoys capsized and dragged their moorings. The cost of repairs to tender, launch and buoys is estimated at $1,800.

9. The hulk "Hygeia" in charge of the Medical Department had its roof blown away. Repairs to it will cost about $4,873 - say $5,000.

10. Of the three Police Launches, one sank to the West of the Kowloon Peninsula, one was cast ashore in the harbour and the third, which was at Tai Po, escaped.
