and Lei Chou, its 32 battalions are quartered in Kao Yao, Yang

Kai Chien, Feng Chuan, hsi Ning, Te Ching, Mac Mine, Tien Pai,
ho Fu, Hsin, Shih Cheng, Ling Shan, Chin Chou, Fang Cheng, Hua Chou,
Sui Chi, Wu Chuan, Hsu Wen, and Tung An.
Shao Chou, Nan Hsiung, and Lien Chou constitute the Northern
Division with 4 battalions distributed amongst Chu Chiang, Ying Ye,
Meng Yuan, Shih Hsing, Lien Chou, Jen Hua, Yang Shan, Nan Hsjung,
and Le Chang.
The Water Police are in four Divisions, the Kuang An, Shao
An, Hui An and Shac an, for the Canton Delta, the west, East and
North Rivers respectively. The old-fashioned guardboats used by
these forces have not yet been entirely superseded, as it has not
been found possible to finish all the new boats. These will be
substituted for the older boats as completed.
