I have the honour to ask for Your Lordship's
authority to grant to a trustee on behalf of the Garrison
Recreation Club a lease of the land shown on the enclosed
plan for 75 years at a nominal Crown Rent of $1 a year and
without premiums on the condition that no compensation for
land or buildings will be given in the event of it becoming
necessary for this Government to resume the site for public
purposes.

It is proposed to erect a pavilion on the
site to take the place of a matshed in a less favourable
position which has hitherto been used by the Garrison
Recreation Club.

The request for this site for the above men-
tioned purpose was made to me on behalf of the Club by the
General Officer Commanding.
