In continuation of my Confidential Despatches:
of the 23rd. and 26th. of July on the subject of discount
on British and Chinese subsidiary coinage, I have the
honour to enclose for Your Lordship's information a copy of
a letter dated the 20th. July which I have received from
His Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires at Peking in reply to mine
of the 28th. June of which a copy was enclosed in the first
of the above mentioned despatches.
