My Lord,
CA 79b80
With reference to the 2nd. paragraph of Your
Lordship's Confidential despatch of the 8th. June with re-
gard to the reclamation required for the Kowloon terminus
of the Canton-Kowloon Railway, I have the honour to state
that the survey of Hung Hom Bay embodied in the plans which
accompanied my despatch of January 12th. has not been
plotted locally on a larger scale than on those plans, and
that I have ascertained from the Commodore that there are
no records here from which this could now be done. It is
possible however that data for replotting the survey could
be obtained from the Admiralty. If reference is made to
that department in the matter it would be well to state
that the survey was carried out by the Commander of H.M.S.
"Albion" in February, 1905.
