I have the honour to acknowledge receipt
of Your Excellency's letter No. 9820/05 C.S.0. dated 25th. instant, and to state, with reference to the last three lines of para 2, that it is regretted that it was not noticed in reading para 5 of Your Excellency's letter No. 9920/05 C.S.0. dated 15th. instant, that Gascoigne Road West was alluded to. Hence the wrong reference. The reclamation referred to is of course the Hongham Bay reclamation scheme.
With reference to para 3 of the first letter above quoted, the height of trunnions, will be approxi- mately 106 feet above M.S.L., but the guns are not yet mounted so the exact height cannot be given at present.
