With reference to Your Lordship's
Circular Despatch of the 3rd. April last, calling for an
annual report on the Nurses employed in this Colony upon
the recommendation of the Colonial Nursing Association,
I have the honour to state that the Principal Civil Medical
officer has reported that all the Nurses so engaged, of
whom I enclose a list for convenience of reference, have
performed their duties in a very satisfactory manner,
the
senior Nurses having acquired a knowledge of local condi-
-tions and diseases which forms a valuable addition to
their original qualifications.

It is my duty with regard to
Nurse Allaway to call attention to the final sentence of

I propose in future years to
furnish the annual report by the first mail in July of
