For the purpose of computing my pension i
have taken f1,500 as the salary on which I should retire, that
being the salary of the permanent appointment which I have now
held for more than 4 years.

My appointment as Attorney-General of Hong-
-kong dating from the 2nd. May, 1908, I have computed the pension
under the Pension Minute dated the 1st. January, 1902, under which
by Rule No. paragraph 2, being the holder of the office of
Attorney-General, the addition of 5 years mentioned in the
schedule to that kinute may be made to my period of service, and
under which, by Rule 17 paragraph 2 (b), there may also be added
to my service a further period of 35 months.
