With reference to previous cor-
-respondence on the subject of the West Praya Reclamation,
I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that the time
has arrived on completion of the work to wind up the
Special Fund in eonnection therewith which was established
under the Praya Reclamation Ordinance of 1889.

In the final statement of accounta
a sum of about $62,800 has been set apart for transfer to
the Colonial Government on account of liability for
pensions to Officers engaged on the Reclamation who are on
the Permanent Staff of the Public Works Department and a
further sum of about $37,700.is due to Government in re-
-fund of overpayment of contributions in respect of such
portion of the work as became Crown Land.
