Suspension of Senior Wardmaster C. B. Nicholas.
Council considered a charge of drunkenness
while on duty brought by Dr. Moore against Charles Edward Nicholas, Senior hardmaster at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
As Mr. Nicholas admitted the charge in a letter addressed to the Colonial Secretary and declined to appear before Council for the purpose of defending himself witnesses were not called.
Council advised that Mr. Nicholas should be forthwith suspended from office with a view to his dismissal from the Service.
