state that the site selected for the new Convict Prison
for 400 men is in the neighbourhood of Kowloon Tong at the
base of the Kowloon Range of hills. As requested in para-
-graph 6 of Mr. Lyttelton's Despatch No. 222 of the 20th.
November, the probable total cost of this work will be
communicated in due course.
