resident members, the Government shall
have power to determine the lease, and
the land and buildings will, in case
of such power being exereised, revert
uneonditionally to the Government.
To these terms the Golf Club at
first demurred: but the terms have since been accepted upon
the Government stating that it was prepared to give an
assurance that, so far as resumption was concerned, there
was no intention of resuming the area offered on a Seventy-
-five years' Lease unless publie improvements or require-
-ments considered by the Government to be urgent should
necessitate such a course being taken.
I now request Your Lordship's
approval of the proposal to grant a Lease of the land in
question on the terms indicated.
