I have the honour te transmit

for Your Lordship's consideration applications for in-

-creases of salary from Mesars. Young Hoa, W. Curwen, and

A. Morris, the Head Masters of the Wan Chai, Sai Ying Pun

and Yau Ma Ti Anglo-Chinese Schools.

2.

Mr. Young Hee is not a trained

and certificated Master but has shown aptitude for the

profession he has adopted and the Wan Chai School has much

advanced under his direction. I propose that he should be

given in addition to his present duties the supervision

of the Tang Lung Chow School, which is in the same district

as and practically serves for the overflow of the Wan

Chai School, and that his salary should be raised from a

scale of £200 to £250 by £25 triennial increments to one

of £240 to £285 by £15 triennial increments.

Mr. W. Curwen is sccupying the
