February, 1905, I at the request of the said Chau Tung Shang paid to Chau Ma Shi bis wife the sum of $50,000 on account thersof
leaving a balance stili due to him of $8,656.12 and this balance
is still owing. The payment of sucn sum of $50,000 was duly
acknowledged both by the said Chau Tung Shang and by his sajä
wife Chau Ma S01.
11. After the 31st. December, 1904, i continue the sale of
the said stocks of coal from time to time as opportunity arose
on my own account and on or about the 7th. day of October, 1904,
the only coal remaining was about $7,000 tons oeing the balance of
the 48,000 tons which was stored at Fati as mentioned in cara- -graph 8 hereof. Such balance of 87,000 tons was on or about the
said 7th. day of October, 1904, seized by the Viceroy.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously
believing the same to be true and by virtue of the Statutory
Declarations Act 1835.
