With reference to Mr. Lyttelton's
General Despatch of the 16th. June, 1905, on the subject
of the ramoval of the difficulties confronting Medical
Officers in this Colony wishing to obtain the Diploma of
Public Health from the General Medical Council, I have the
honour to inform Your Lordship that twe Officers of the
Royal Army Medical Corps have applied to this Government
for facilities to attend inter alia a laboratory course in
Hongkong.

Dr.
William Hunter, M.B., C.M.,
Aberdeen, the Government Bacteriologist, is willing te
teach all the laboratory subjects in the Bacteriological
Institute. I should be glad therefore if Your Lordship
will cause the Universities of Cambridge, Durham and
Edinburgh, the Conjoint Board of the Royal College of
Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons in London to
be asked whether they will accept Dr.Hunter's certificate
