Despatch No. 189 of the 21st. May, 1903, on the subject of
a grant to the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club and the Hongkong
shown
Boat Club of a site on a plan which was enclosed in Sir

Henry Blake's Despatch No. 185 of the 8th. April, 1903, I
do
have the honour to state that, after inspecting the site
agreed to be granted, I was of opinion that another site
further eastwards would better suit the purposes of the
two Clubs in question.

I accordingly caused an offer of
the new site which covers an area of 53,800 Square Feet to
be made to the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club with which the
Hongkong Boat Club has been amalgamated.
The Committee of that Club having
