I am by command of the Army Council to acknow-

ledge the receipt of Colonial Office letter of the 16th.

instant, No. 976/1905, and to acquaint you in reply that it

is proposed by the Council to authorise free hospital treat-

ment to members of the crew of the Russian destroyer "BURNI",

who are interned at Hong Kong, and who may be admitted to the

Military Hospital at that station.

No stoppages will therefore be recovered from

these men in respect of their maintenance &c, while under

treatment in a British Military Hospital.

Instructions to this effect will be communicated

to the General Officer Commanding, Hong Kong, from this office.
