by this Society'e Exclusive Surveyors in respect of such parts of olassed veszele as cannot be surveyed at those ports without grave inconvenience, that is to Bay those parte which cannot be 'surveyed without docking or removal of cargo. It is understood from your letter of the 11th ultimo that the Bombay Authorities #111 accept certificates as to these parts from Surveyors at foreign ports "lawfully appointed by the public
or ruling authority at such port"; and it is respect- fully urged that the same consideration should be
extended to the Exclusive Surveyore of Lloyd's Register.
