No. 1.
[November 22.]
SECTION 2.
(No. 66.) Sir,
The Marquess of Lansdowne to Mr. Johnstone,
Foreign Office, November 22, 1905.
I HAVE received your despatch No. 117 of the 14th instant, in which you report, that instructions have been sent to the Danish Cousul at Shanghae to protect British trade-marks, duly registered in Denmark, against infraction by Danish subjects in China.
His Majesty's Minister at Peking has been requested to issue the necessary instructions to His Majesty's Consular officers in China in order that similar protection may be extended to Danish trade-marks, should they be infringed by British subjects.
I
request that you
will so inform the Danish Government.
I am, &c.
