There is no reason at all for giving up these goods, which were seized in due form of law. It is not worth wrangling over.
Lord Lansdowne considers that on surrendering this ammunition legally seized & confiscated, especially in view of the fact that the W.D. think that it might be the property of the Imperial Government,
