Gentlemen,
With further roforence to your letter of the 30th November last and cur acknowledgment thereof dated the 1st December, we have the honour to inform you that we have only this week received the plans of the survey of the British Section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway referred to by r J.C.Bruce in his report to His Excellency the Governor of Hong Kong dated Kowloon the 20th October 1905.
We are now going into Mr Bruce's plane and estimates in detail and will report fully to you on the subject as early as possiblo.
In the meantime we may say that we note with satisfaction that Mr Bruce's general recommendations have been accepted by His Excellency and that we entirely agree with the proposal to adopt the Eastern low level
route.
There are several details in connection with the estimates on which we will address you further as soon as possible.
