Gentlemen,
With reference to your letter of the 1st.
September I have the honour to report that. in my
opinion, Police Constable W. G. Culliford is not fit to
return to duty at present owing to an enlarged liver
from intemperence. He is also suffering from the
constitutional effects of a recent attack of syphilis.
I cannot advise an extension of his leave as
complete recovery is problematical.
