With reference to paragraph 3 of Admiralty
letter of the 24th January 1905, D.W.18045/665, relative
to the transfer to the Admiralty of certain land at Long
Harbour, Mirs Bay, by the Colonial Government of Hong Kong;
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty
to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of
State for the Colonies, that a report has now been
received from the Naval Commander in Chief, China, in
regard to the Temple and House which were to be allowed
to remain on the Peninsula, a copy of which is herewith.
2. It will be seen therefrom that the premises
are required for Naval purposes, they being occupied by
the Caretaker of the Range.
