Referring to your telegram of 6th December

suggest no alteration. Shall arrange for His Royal

Highness and suite to stay at Government House, Detailed

programme of proposals will be sent to His Royal Highness

at Colombo for approval. Ahould be glad if you could

furnish information as to number and respective ranks of

whole party as seon as possible. Is Circular despatch

of 26th February 1599 with regard, precedence to be

followed?

Unless His Royal Highness travels incognito

to Canton instructions must be sent to Viceroy from

Peking. Shall I communicate with British Minister on

this subject or will Foreign Office send instructions?
